It wouldn’t be fair to only post about one eatery that I visited during my trip to Bratislava, so here I have compiled everywhere that I managed to check out.
LINOS
This was the first place we tried – we enjoyed lunch here after arriving & unpacking! Food & drinks here were very cheap, I think it cost equivalent of around £6 each for a meal & drink. I enjoyed a blue cheese pasta dish & my friend had a club-style sandwich. We were both impressed, but in particular with how cheap it was.
SLOVAK HAUSE
We visited here to try some of the traditional food, including schnitzel & a meat skewer. The food was very nice, & both meals were served with a side salad (heavily pickled!) I’m not sure if the traditional food is for me in all honesty, not something I would choose but, when in Rome!

LE PAPILLON
This restaurant we ended up visiting spontaneously – after a day trip to Vienna, this was the only place we could find that was still serving food gone 10/11pm. Food was gorgeous! I enjoyed a bruschetta starter followed by a mushroom & parmesan risotto which was beautiful, of course washed down with a couple of large glasses of white wine! My friend went for a meatloaf starter which was absolutely enormous & definitely not a starter portion (not complaining) followed by a prawn & avocado linguine which she really enjoyed.

And last but certainly not least, FALKENSTEINER HOTEL.
We stayed here on a bed & breakfast basis, with breakfast consisting of your usual cooked foods along with continental breads, meats, cheese, yoghurts, etc. Oh, & the main attractions for myself, a waffle machine (make your own!!) & free flowing prosecco!
